Winery located on Leelanau Peninsula, approximately 15 miles north of Traverse City. Our goal has always been to produce the finest wines possible. We strive to make wines that express the unique soil and climate in which they grow, the personal attention they are given in vineyard and wine cellar, and the winegrower’s esthetic. A little more Meunier, a lot more magic🥂✨

We’ve loved working with the small amounts of Pinot Meunier we already have, so we decided it was time to give this incredible grape some more room to shine!

Pinot Meunier is the unsung hero of the sparkling wine world and one of the three iconic grapes used in traditional Champagne production. While Pinot Noir and Chardonnay get the headlines, Meunier is the winemaker’s secret weapon, bringing immediate roundness, bright acidity, and vibrant fruitiness to a blend.

Our team is out there digging holes, setting stakes, and planting the future of our bubble lineup. Cheers to the 2026 growing season! 🥂

A BIG thank you to those who attended our How Mawby Sparkles tour last week!

How MAWBY Sparkles is an hour long guided tour through our winemaking facility followed by a couple hours spent in tasting room. When you finish, you get to customize your very own flight, to test you knowledge of course.

Tickets are available at Mawby.wine, $59/person (FIZZ Club discounts apply!)

One tour per month, and only 16 spots are available so make sure you book now!

Michigan wine has a story worth celebrating ✨🍾

Long before vineyard weekends and sparkling pours on the Leelanau Peninsula, Michigan’s wine roots were being planted in the 1800s. Shaped by risk-takers, cool-climate growing, and the kind of lake-effect magic that makes this place unlike anywhere else. Michigan’s wine-growing history dates back to the mid-19th century and has grown into one of the country’s most exciting cool-climate wine regions.

In honor of Michigan Wine Month, we’re taking a look back at the story of Michigan wine: from early pioneers and the rise of northern Michigan vineyards to how sparkling wine found its place here (spoiler: those crisp temps and bright acidity are kind of perfect for bubbles 🥂). Michigan’s wine industry continues to thrive, with vineyards concentrated along Lake Michigan where the climate helps shape bright, balanced wines.

We invited some of our favorite Northern Michigan makers to bring the bread and butter. 🧈🥖🍞

We’ll bring the wine.🥂✨

Butter Together is a one-time event happening Sunday, June 14 under the MAWBY tent, featuring bread + butter pairings from 9 Bean Rows, Farm Club, and Martin Sorge, winner of The Great American Baking Show.

You’ll start with a welcome pour, then move through three tasting stations, each with a unique bread + butter pairing and a 3 oz pour selected to match. Expect local grains, thoughtful flavors, seasonal accompaniments from Farm Club, and a guided pairing talk that keeps things interesting without turning your Sunday into homework.

📖🧑🏻‍🍳Guests will also have the chance to preorder Martin’s upcoming cookbook, Great Bakes: Modern Classic Recipes from the Midwest, publishing August 4, 2026.

Plus, ticket holders will receive special savings at 9 Bean Rows in Suttons Bay, so the bread love does not have to end when the event does.

Early bird tickets are $45 through May 20.
