We loved making a special bouquet for a bridal shower this morning. The bride requested white flowers and greenery, so we used a variety of white zinnias complemented by fresh eucalyptus, basil, and lavender from the farm. We love being a small part of life’s special celebrations and hope the beautiful bride loves her flowers.

This week, we are excited to celebrate Jennifer Griffin, Biology Teacher at Swansboro High School as our Teacher of the Week!

Mrs. Griffin is the kind of educator who goes above and beyond to bring learning to life! From securing grants that create exciting opportunities for students to being selected as a prestigious Kenan Fellow, she is constantly finding innovative ways to make science meaningful, engaging, and connected to the real world.

Her passion for biology extends far beyond the classroom. She is committed to growing professionally, exploring new ideas, and creating experiences that inspire students to become curious thinkers and lifelong learners.

At GiGi’s Farm, we love celebrating educators who plant seeds of knowledge, nurture potential, and help students BLOOM!

I think Mother Nature whispered to our orange zinnias, “Not yet, little ones. Wait until October, when the world will appreciate your beautiful color even more!” And just like that, our orange zinnias decided to show off right when the world is celebrating all things fall!

We absolutely LOVE welcoming children’s groups to the farm! This time, we had a wonderful group of homeschoolers join us for a fun afternoon of learning and exploring! They learned about the importance of pollinators, created their own beautiful bouquets, and even harvested sunflower seeds!

There’s something so special about watching children learn, explore, and connect with nature. We love sharing our little farm with visitors of all ages!
