Today, we celebrate the one and only Roy, the most charming, intelligent, and lovable pig around! 🎉 Let's give three cheers for our curly-tailed friend who brings so much joy into our lives.

Roy, you're not just a pig; you're family. Your snorts and oinks light up our days, and your playful antics keep us entertained for hours on end. From rooting around in the mud to snuggling up for a belly rub, you never fail to put a smile on our faces.

Here's to you, Roy, our incredible piggy pal! Thank you for filling our lives with laughter, warmth, and endless snuggles. Happy National Pig Day! 🎈🐽

Meet Roy!

On December 20th, 2023 The Warren Police Department got a report of a loose pig running around in Warren, RI. Animal control reported to the call where they caught the loose pig (Later to be named Roy) and took him to our small farm in Swansea, MA to have the proper care while they investigated who he belonged to. Within the coming weeks we discovered he was illegally being kept behind an apartment in Warren and set to be illegally slaughtered THE DAY AFTER his escape.

Roy had it rough the first week with us, our poor (estimated to be about 6/7 months old) boy was very lethargic, not eating and sleeping all day. He was treated at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Grafton, MA where he made a full recovery and came back home to us a few days later!

Roy is the sweetest most happy go lucky boy despite his former living situation and has been an absolute joy to have on our farm! He has been with Jackson and I since December 20th of 2023 and as of Today February 28th 2024 we have officially adopted Roy! He resides at our small farm, CJ Farmstead where he will live out his days being spoiled rotten, eating his favorite snack (tomato's!) and stealing the hearts of everyone that meets him!

🌱👫 Meet the passionate duo behind CJ Farmstead in Swansea, Massachusetts! 🚜 Jackson Dipietro, 22, from Warren, Rhode Island, embarked on his farming journey two years ago, guided by the enthusiasm of his best friend, Corinne Francis, 23, also from Warren. Corinne, with over three years of farming experience, introduced Jackson to the wonders of farming at a larger Swansea farm. Since moving to our own property, the farm has been steadily growing, and we feel blessed to have our incredible animals. 🐓🐐🐖 Excited for the future, we're eager to continue this beautiful journey of growth and farming adventures! 🌾❤️
