We welcomed the sweetest trio of Nigerian Dwarf goat kids this past Monday, October 12th! Mama did a wonderful job giving us two handsome little bucklings and one gorgeous doeling.
These babies carry our favorite show-quality traits—from bright blue eyes and moon spots to flashy white markings and rich, beautiful coats:
✨ Honey (Doeling): Our lighter gold-and-white sweetheart with piercing blue eyes.
✨ Oakley (Buckling): The darker buckskin boy rocking a bright white poll and one flashy white back boot.
✨ Nugget (Buckling): His handsome golden brother with classic markings.
🍼 The Bottle Baby Experience (Next 7 Days Only!)
For this first week only, Honey, Oakley, and Nugget can be raised as bottle babies! After this week, they will stay right here with mama to be dam-raised for the next 8 weeks until they are fully weaned (though you can still claim your favorite in the meantime to hold until weaning day!).
Why do people love bottle babies so much? There is truly nothing like the bond of a bottle-raised Nigerian Dwarf. When you bottle-feed a kid, you become their "mama"—resulting in an ultra-friendly, pocket-sized companion that runs to greet you, loves cuddles, and is a breeze to handle.
Of course, being a bottle parent is a real commitment, though we keep feeding simple—our babies are raised on regular whole cow's milk straight from the grocery store! It takes dedication to keep up with warm, scheduled daily feedings, clean bottles, and cozy housing, but the lifelong affection you get in return is second to none.
