Small business Saturday is tomorrow! The store is fully stocked with lots of amazing unique items, gift bags galore, gift boxes, signs, decor and so many foodie items. This week had 4 more shipments arrive! For my small business this Saturday is my favorite day and the one I work so hard for. The store is usually busy with lots of familiar faces and so many new ones.
Freebies for the first dozen sales!
While we dont do a big "doorbuster" sale, we do keep prices down all year with some occasional end of season sales to make room for new goods.
Please stop in tomorrow to say hello and make your rounds to the other amazing small businesses in town. Every business in Swanton's downtown is locally owned!

Fresh jars of pepper jelly/jam delivered to Bees on Broadway today!
I tried out 4 varieties:

Apple pepper jelly-mild (with bell peppers and de-seeded jalepenos.. this was my first go, it’s a little loose but if you chill it in the fridge it’ll firm up enough to be perfect for pouring over cream cheese!)

Hot apple pepper jelly (made with only jalapeños)

Cherry”bomb” jam (medium forward heat made with red bell peppers and cherry bomb peppers)

Peach habanero-hot (made only with habaneros!)

All tested and approved by the bee keeper herself 😉

Something new in the works… I’ve been asked multiple times over the past few years if I make pepper jelly and the answer has always been no. Well, we’re going to give it a go this year!
As always, Vermont picked apples from Vermont Orchards for the base jelly. Bell peppers from my own garden and hot peppers from just down the road at Wagners Unlimited.
