🎂October is National CO-OP Month! As the third oldest Food Cooperative in the Nation, we’re proud to have been upholding the 7 Cooperative Principles for the last 89 years! This just so happens to be our birthday month as well! So join us in wishing the CO-OP a happy 89th Birthday today, 10/6!

🍅The first Cooperative Principle is Voluntary and Open Membership!

🛒Here at the Swarthmore CO-OP ANYONE can shop & ANYONE can join regardless of gender, sexuality, social status, race, political affiliation, religion or any other personal details. It’s important to us that we welcome all members of the community to join our cooperative by their own choice! Plus on top of that you don't need to be a member to shop here. Everyone is welcome!

🎂Stop by the CO-OP today and wish us a happy birthday!

This week we want to celebrate a local family farm that's particularly popular with the Swarthmore College students and faculty: 🐮 Conebella Farm, maker of the famed yogurt smoothies and colorful fruit-topped Greek yogurts.🥤Read our latest vendor profile to learn more about how the farm's 100% purebred Ayrshire cows are registered and named, and about the rigorous quality testing the owners perform regularly (and ace, regularly!) on their milk. 🐄 Buy fresh, buy local!

Due to lower-than-expected ticket sales, we’ve decided to transform this year’s Community Table into a smaller, more intimate gathering on the Co-op patio. If you have purchased tickets, we will be issuing a full refund for your ticket(s).

We did not make this decision lightly. Our vision for the Community Table is to bring a large group of neighbors together to break bread and connect, and we realized we could not deliver that experience as originally planned with this year’s attendance.

But we’d still love to gather with you!

Please join us Saturday, September 26, from 5–7 p.m. on the Co-op patio, free of charge. We’ll still have live music, and Delco Dave will be sampling a varity of delicious w**e. The Co-op will remain open, so you can pick up something inside, or you’re welcome to bring a dish of your own.

It won’t be the Community Table we originally envisioned, but we hope it will still be a fun evening to share some food, music, and time with our neighbors.

We hope to see you there!
