Thank you everyone for all your support over these few months. I am very deeply saddened to have to close my bakery, but family must come first. I want to thank all of you that have expressed for condolences and understanding.

With being permanently closed, I will no longer be accepting orders of any kind, and my page will be gone by next week.

Again, thank you all for your support and understanding ♥️♥️

Cinnamon swirl bread fresh out of the oven. This next Tuesday will be your last day to get it, as it will be my final day at the Farmers Market and my bakery will officially be closed. I will only have 4 loaves.

Thank you everyone for all of your support over these few months, but unfortunately, I have had to make the very difficult decision to close my bakery. Although, this will not be happening for a few weeks. You will still see me at the Farmers Market, but there will be a few changes.

Why am I closing my bakery? Besides my relationship with Jesus, my family is the most important thing to me, and my family has suffered greatly because of my bakery. I have no time for my kids, and my marriage has suffered for it as well. Hopefully in a few years I can start up again, and maybe open a storefront in Sweet Home.

There will be some changes to my menu, and I will get an updated menu out soon. I will be downsizing to three flavors of cookies. I will have chocolate chip, peanut butter, and no bakes, and I will no longer be making muffins once I run out of certain ingredients. The items I will have at the farmers market are the cookies mentioned above, cinnamon swirl bread, and cinnamon rolls.

Again, thank you everyone for your support. I look forward to serving you for the next couple of weeks. ❤️ God bless.

Laugh of the Day 😂😂 Discussion between my five year old and I today about frozen yogurt.

Him: “mommy, can I have a frozen yogurt?”
Me: “no, you can wait until Sissy gets home.”
Him: “why?”
Me: “because you’re going to want another one when she gets home and has one, so you can just wait.”
Him: “but what if you forget that I had one?”
Me: “what are you trying to do? Cheat the system?”
Him: “what’s the system?”
Me: “You’re hoping I will give you one now and then forget that I gave you one and let you have another one later”
Him: “yeah!!”

With pie dough as an exception, you generally want your ingredients to be at room temperature.

If you have room temperature flour, butter, peanut butter and sugar, but have cold eggs while making peanut butter cookies, the cold eggs when mixed with the room temperature butter and sugar during the creaming process will create a curdled consistency, indicating the ingredients aren’t mixed properly.

This can cause a number of problems, but the most frequent is spreading. Ordinarily, when cookies are baking, they rise and then gently fall as you pull them out of the oven and let them cool.

How do you know if your cookies have spread or cooked properly? When cookies spread, the edges will be very thin and usually crispy compared to the rest of the cookie. The cookie should be the same thickness all the way around, with the same texture.
