Hello, friends!
I hope the holidays have treated you all well! Just wanted to hop on here and make a couple of quick announcements — as the winter weather has officially rolled in 🥶 we will be turning down the heat on our smoke outs until early spring. However, the cold weather season is the BEST time to be smoking delicious, creamy cheese — and that is EXACTLY what we’re gonna be doing! 🧀💨
I will be smoking all different manner of delicious cheeses all winter long, so if smoked cheese is something that gets your cheddar, feel free to send me a DM or comment your orders below.
THE PROCESS:
The cheeses are smoked with a mixture of wild cherry, apple, and pecan wood for about 2-3 hours and then vacuum sealed (to lock in that good smoke flavor) and aged for 1-2 weeks.
*Because of the aging process, orders may need to be placed ahead of time to ensure that the full aging process is completed*
*Smoked cheese prices:
• Sharp Cheddar / Pepper Jack / Colby Jack / Mozzarella (by the 16oz block) $10 per block
• Sharp Cheddar / Pepper Jack / Colby Jack / Mozzarella / Gouda / Double Cheddar / Cheddar Jack (by the 8oz block) $6 per block
Pair these Smokey cheeses with my own, homemade “Crackin’ Crackers” (ranch seasoning, dill, lemon, spices) $6 per LB*
There’s nothing that warms the soul more during the winter months than firing up the ol’ fireplace, wood burner, or just a heater in your garage and chowing down on some tasty, hardwood smoked cheese (paired with your favorite beverage, of course).
