Love this
The Tour de France is going on, which has me thinking about how to explain a concept that is not easy for most riders to understand.
The balance of the horse left to right is tied to the throughness and forward flow back to front.
Think of it like riding a bike with no hands on the handle bars, if you don’t have enough energy and momentum, you will start to wobble left to right. But in the same flip of the coin, if you do start to wobble and simply peddle faster or harder without stabilizing and straightening, you’ll tip over.
You need the shoulders and thoracic sling upright to be able to send the energy forward to your hand to create throughness.
It’s all tied together.
You must ride the whole horse, not getting hyper focused on one part that’s not working, because that one piece is connected to all of the other pieces.
