🎉 Congratulations to our Store Manager, Candace! 🎉
We are proud to recognize our Store Manager, Candace, for receiving an Honorable Mention FEEDYS for the Meg Ham Caring for Our Neighbors Award!
This prestigious award honors a store associate who demonstrates outstanding leadership in coordinating and motivating associates and volunteers for hunger-relief projects that support Food Lion Feeds and our partner food banks.
Candace's passion for serving others has made a tremendous impact throughout our communities. In 2025, Candace and her team volunteered 117 hours at events across Screven County and surrounding areas, helping to fight food insecurity. In 2026 alone, they have already contributed 153 volunteer hours, along with countless pounds of food donated to local organizations.
As one of the Savannah Region's Southern Towns and Cities Retail Ambassadors, Candace has worked with community partners and sister stores to support food drives, food pantry stocking events, school initiatives, Guiding Stars nights, store tours, and community events focused on helping our neighbors in need.
Nominated by her peers and leaders and selected by our organization, Candace shared:
"This past week I had a surprise that left me feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. To know that so many of my peers and leaders thought so highly of me has me feeling humble and grateful that I have had the distinct honor of fighting food insecurity and the opportunity to give back to so many of the towns and cities we serve. I love this Food Lion family so much, and I am so thankful that I get to work with my team, my peers, and our leaders in the Savannah Region. We are ONE Food Lion, and I will remember this moment for the rest of my career."
