Founded in 2001, we purchased our first Suris embarking on the next chapter in our lives. We are active in the industry, serving on boards and committees, attending shows in the central US. We recently added a B&B (Prairie Oaks Inn) to our operation which will allow us to expand into other areas...we will offer products for sale including Kansas Made Products, and agritourism.

While we no longer raise alpacas as a business, we do have a few left we are allowing to live out their lives here on our farm. We operate a Bed & Breakfast, the alpacas and our other various and sundry animals and fowl are part of the farm experience for our guests. While we still have some alpacas, we are not active in the industry. Our B&B has done so well we have simply folded the ranch into the B&B as agritourism. We have added goats, pigs, horses, donkeys, ducks, muskovies, chickens and guineas to the menagerie for guests to enjoy and interact. Come for a visit!

On Thanksgiving Day 2013 we suffered a brutal attack on part of our herd which was at a remote pasture a few miles from our home. My son stopped by to check on them and give them some feed and discovered two dogs viciously killing them. He called me and stopped the attack, one dog escaped and when I arrived I killed the other one. Sheriff's dept is investigating. 8 alpacas were dead, 3 wounded beyond saving and the guard llama was seriously wounded. They had huge chunks ripped out of their hind quarters and a**l area, and ears, jaws and necks ripped open or off. We will pursue the owners with everything we have.
