One year ago, we lost the heart of our farm.

Miss Sha-neigh-neigh was the very first one here. We built this place for her and around her, and so much of what we are today started with her.

This year has been hard, and there isn’t a day we don’t wish she was still here to see everything growing into what we promised it would be.

Narcolepsy in horses is no joke, and fighting that battle with you changed us and made us stronger. We will forever be thankful for everything you taught us about patience, resilience, and love.

Thank you for being our beginning, Neigh. Keep an eye on us. We’re still building it, just like we promised.

A little sweetness with a whole lot of meaning. 🤍🍯

The profits from our honey sticks will be set aside and saved for Neerings Family Farm to purchase food and host a special dinner for NICU parents at Primary Children’s.

We know that a meal can’t make the NICU journey easier, but we hope it can offer a small moment of comfort to parents who are spending some of the hardest days of their lives beside their little ones.

Every honey stick purchased helps us give back in a way that means so much to our family. Thank you for helping us turn something so simple into something that can make a difference. 🤍

The horses can’t help themselves… they HAVE to get a taste right off the truck!

The second that hay hits the field, these two are right there inspecting the delivery. Apparently, waiting until it makes it to the feeder is simply not an option.

But all jokes aside, high-quality forage is one of the most important parts of a horse’s diet. Horses are designed to eat forage for a large portion of their day. Their digestive systems are built around a steady intake of fibrous feed, not a couple of large meals with long periods of time in between.

That’s why we like keeping good-quality hay available to our horses 24/7.

Free-choice forage allows them to naturally consume smaller amounts throughout the day and night while helping provide the calories they need just to maintain their baseline body condition and normal daily functions. It also keeps their digestive system working the way it was designed to, supports healthy gut motility, and gives them something appropriate to spend their time doing.

For our horses good forage is the foundation; And apparently, quality control starts before the truck even leaves the driveway.

What would you do with over a gallon of milk a day?

This is just what we brought in from our morning milking. Our evening milking will bring in about the same amount, which means our two milk girls are currently giving us around a gallon and a half of fresh milk every single day.

And that’s a LOT of milk for one family to keep up with!

But that’s also what makes fresh goat milk so exciting. It doesn’t have to just be a glass of milk.

That fresh milk can become:

Heavy cream
Sour cream
Yogurt
Soft cheeses like chevre, feta, mozzarella and cream cheese
Butter
And, of course, plenty of fresh drinking milk.

We raise Standard LaManchas, and our girls are doing an amazing job this year on their second freshening. We’re really starting to see just how much these girls are capable of producing!

Which brings us back to the question…

What would YOU do with over a gallon of fresh goat milk every day?

What exactly is a milk share?

A milk share is a way for you to own a portion of one or more of our dairy goats.

Because you're a partial owner of the herd, you're entitled to receive a portion of the milk your goats produce each week. Rather than purchasing milk, you're purchasing an ownership interest in the herd and essentially paying a boarding and care fee while we feed, house, milk, and care for the animals on your behalf.

We raise standard LaMancha dairy goats in a health-tested and closed herd. Our goats receive quality nutrition, attentive care, and are milked in a clean environment to produce fresh, high-quality raw goat milk.

As our girls continue to freshen, we're reaching the point where we'll have more milk than our family can use. We currently have availability for:
• One milk share at 2 gallons per week, or
• Two milk shares at 1 gallon per week each.
