Defending poor and ridiculous behavior is pathetic. I’m honestly so over it.

THIS IS CHICKENS.

What isn’t okay is human beings being manipulated, slandered, attacked, bullied, and dragged through the mud over them.

And then some of the same people turn around and bash certain breeders to new or inexperienced breeders, spreading their own version of the story and influencing people who may not even know the full situation. Some of y’all apparently only have two friends and enough free time to make everyone else’s business your hobby.

Do better.

We are constantly told to stay quiet. Don’t talk publicly about what’s happening. Don’t talk about what has happened. Don’t talk about what did happen.

And honestly, I would be perfectly willing to keep things private IF THE BEHAVIOR WOULD ACTUALLY STOP.

But we’re talking about the same small group of people and the same ridiculous “mean girl” behavior that has been going on for what—two years now?

At some point, enough is enough.

I will be contacting the appropriate associations regarding the behavior of certain breeders and representatives because this has gone far beyond petty disagreements between people who raise chickens.

You don’t have to like someone.
You don’t have to agree with them.
You don’t have to buy their birds.
You don’t even have to speak to them.

But you do need to act like an adult.

These are CHICKENS. 🐓

Silkies are home and enjoying their time free ranging again.
They have a few free days before back into conditioning pens they go for a show in 30 days. As of now Laikyn is looking at entering
5 silkies and showmanship with Gomez.

This little 4 month old has another month to keep growing and filling out. She one of 3 young girls entering.

We are in full swing of letting go of some birds to make room for breeding groups and time to get everyone settled up with breeding groups so we are ready to start hatching come October till March of 2026. Then we pause and its show time again.

Thank you to everyone who bought from us we cleared out our few growouts in minutes once we offered them. We are small scale so we normally only have growouts available in fall and sometimes spring but mainly we clear out young birds between 3-4 months of age. By then we make our final choices on keepers and let go what doesn't fit in out program for breeders or show birds.

This guy is going over some girls this fall to start our own chocolate line.

These photos dont do him justice. This boy is WIDE for being a December hatch. He has the right parts to cross well on our black line.

Sisters from the same hatch and late bloomers are going into the conditioning cages they have been living the family life and free ranging during the day when we are home.

They just turned 4 months old.

But these two girls are on Laikyns list to hopefully get prepped to enter fall shows.
We have decided to take before bath and conditioning photos. This is just raw dirty farm birds enjoying life.

Laikyn is feeling the silkie show fire and is ready to enter a open show.
I feel shes ready to compete and win or loose she knows this is to learn and build off of.
She's on cloud 9 for falls comes to be able to show some of her NSV birds along with her own birds shes bred and hatched out.

Time for baths and treats on a few bird before Friday when her fair birds return and go into quarantine.

Im just loving every minute of this adventure.
We didnt condtion as early as we should of. But we are gearing up for a very busy 2027 show year.

Enjoy this dirty fresh off of broody and raising babies.
