Who here loves rum?
We are thrilled to announce a three-part educational (and delicious) opportunity with all of you! Once again we have partnered up with the fine folks of Pascale's Liquors in Fayetteville to bring you a tasty (and slightly nerdy) experience, this time with all you need to know about rum. If you have never experienced many rums, the variation in flavor will blow your mind!
Class 1: Introduction to Rum: Wednesday, October 9th, 6:00-7:30 p.m. An introduction to the wide world of rum. You will leave knowing how rum is produced, understanding how to interpret a label, some history behind the spirit, and of course some guided sampling.
Class 2: Rums Derived from Molasses: Wednesday, October 16th, 6:00-7:30 p.m. For our second week we will focus on rums made exclusively from molasses. More about the history of this style, nuances and range of production, discussion on which cocktails shine with molasses-based rums, and sampling a few expressions both aged and not.
Class 3: Rums Derived from Sugar Cane Juice: Wednesday October 23rd, 6:00-7:30 p.m. Our final encounter will take us deep into the realm of rums derived from cane juice. We will detail out the differences from molasses rums, the history behind cane juice rums, cocktails that these play well in, get into the weeds in the breadth of flavors that sugar cane can produce, and sample several drams.
Space is limited and first come first served, so please call Pascale's in Fayetteville At 315-355-6222 starting tomorrow to reserve your spot! Individual classes are $25 each, or you can commit to all three for $60.
