I NO LONGE HAVE CHICKENS OR EGGS TO SELL
I am a small new farm. I have chickens, Guineas, goats, turkey's and ducks. I started my small farm in March of 2012 with just a few chickens.
It soon grew to many chickens, then a few goats and then 2 turkeys a hen and a tom. Then acquired ducks. And now as of Dec 2012 I have added Guinea's. I picked the name as that is just what it is " Hidden Eggs" my hens even tho they have many nesting boxes will nest anyplace on our property and with 5 archers of land I am on a daily hunt for my eggs. I sell farm fresh eggs at $3.50 a dozen when e
ggs are available. I would like 24 hour notice on egg orders. I do this as a hobby so my chickens come first not customer orders. I allow my chickens to lay in their time frame. I have several breeds and some specialty breeds. Most my eggs I sell are large to X large brown to light tan eggs.
Operating as usual
I NO LONGE HAVE CHICKENS OR EGGS TO SELL
Eggs will soon be back up for sale
I want to thank my egg customers and also apologize. Those of you who really like brown eggs I am running short it seems. I have lost several chickens do to a predator problem seem no matter how hard Mark and I try we can not get what seems to be one of the last 2. About every other night I lose one. These would be the chickens that roost in the trees and refuse to roost in the very nice and roomy coops. And my new chicks are not of egg laying age yet. So I will keep you posted on how this turns out.
To arrive today will be 40 chicks to add to CJ's Hidden eggers. Most will be brown egg layers add to that the 35 brown egg layer chicks I have now and then 25 of Murray's choice layers which will be a mix of green , blue, white and brown eggs. Pictured here are the brown egg layers . And some blue and green eggs. These breeds all lay heavy and nice eggs. It will be some time before the chic get to egg laying age but once they do I will have quite a bit more brown eggs for my brown egg loving customers.
33 new chicks varieties are Black s*x Link, White leg horn, Amberlink, Isa Brown, Rhode Island Red, Red Cross, Ameracanna, Auracanna, Brahma most all are brown egg layer some lay blue and green
Thanks to all my egg customers. I have been noticing for some time now that my really dark brown eggs are not being produced as often. I have some old hens that are slowing down. BUT I anticipated this and have ordered 80 chicks all laying a variety of browns but it will be a while before they start laying. So I have green eggs always on hand and can get L-XL brown mix which would be light cream to tan to Dark brown. So fear not brown will be in production on a regular basis prob late summer early fall some breeds I am getting will start laying earlier

My chickens are molting and egg production has slowed down. I am still selling but have taken down the eggs for sale sign. If you are in need of free range farm fresh eggs and I do not have any I will get you in contact with a local Amish family not to far from us that sells eggs also They are brown egg very nice. I will keep everyone updated as my production picks up
well things have changed. I am not willing to let my herd of chickens go for $1 each and nor am I willing to sell them all for 25$ so I am keeping them and will still have eggs.

I am not thrilled with this but I will be evaluating my prices on my eggs. I consider my chickens healthy and rare as I spend much time making sure they get as much free range time as possible witch is all day and then they get a solid critter proof coop at night to rest up. Among the 5 archers we have for them to forage not only do they get plenty of good exercise but they get tons of protein with the bug control they do around here. I will keep my customers up to date and let you know of the price increase when I have decided what that will be.
I also would like people to consider my eggs are fresh and healthier for you and YOU as the customer can see the hens laying your eggs that is not true with store bought eggs.
We welcome to the farm family my grandson born just today a few min ago. No better way to add to the family.
Once again I would like to thank all my egg customers eggs are getting hard and harder to find as my hens wander the 5 archers we have to lay lol. Also some have asked if I am raising my prices because of the bird virus and the ban on bringing in new chickens to swap meets and 4H fairs and such... At this time no I am not. So far I have not been effected by this and lets hope it does not reach me. But with any livestock anything can happen. I keep a close eye out on my animals and I am hoping would be able to see if something was wrong. I also have about 40 chicks growing so when they get to egg laying age I should have plenty of supply

I am considering hatching chicks to sell. If anyone in the area is interested let me know I do not ship and it will be straight run.
Thanks
I have been so happy with my hens all my farm animals. My hens have been laying eggs this whole winter even on those colder then cold days. To which keeps my house hold and my customers stocked with eggs. I am hoping that means they are happy hens
I would like to thank all of my customers who get eggs from me. So far this winter I have been able to keep up. I had planned on adding more chickens this spring as my egg sales has pick up that is a great thing and more chickens is always fun. But this spring brings in some things that will make it hard for me to get another coop built and care for the chicks till they can free range. So I will continue with the ones I have for now I appreciate your patience.
So far my hens have been doing a great job providing me with eggs to fill my standing orders. On the cold days I have to go out often and collect before they freeze and crack. The last few days have been just warm enough to gather plenty. And since my chickens are not restricted to where they go as there is not any ankle deep snow they again area making me hunt for the eggs. But what they fail to realize is I just follow those cute little chicken foot prints right to the eggs. Please post here and or email me at [email protected] or tex me 1-574-518-8002 to let me know your order. Texting works better as I do not always answer my phone and my message box is messed up at the moment. Thanks
I am considering selling rabbit pellets for fertilizer in gardens and flower beds. Anyone interested please let me know. I would sift the straw out and or could leave some straw in. Also considering selling left over goat bedding that is great from compost.
Thanks to all the new likes from wonderful people checking out my page
