Sunstone Bay

Sunstone Bay We are a hobby farm in the PNW. We have ADGA registered Oberhasli, LaMancha, Nubian and Nigerian.

We also have a beautiful flock of chickens that consists of Jubilee & Buff Orpingtons, Black Copper Marans, Heritage RIR, and LF cochin.

Sierra's poultry @ Pierce County Fair..... her Large Fowl Cochin-Winter took the show with Grand Champion Asiatic Class, Grand Champion Large Fowl and Grand Champion Breed- LF Cochin, then got Reserve Champion for the whole show!!!

Her showmanship bird Trixie helped her win a blue.

Mater Tater was a crowd favorite and had so many pictures taken.

Winnie also got a blue!

She also entered her eggs and photography!

Lyla's Poultry @ Pierce County Fair....Snowball helped Lyla win Reserve Champion Jr showmanship and got Reserve Champion Asiatic Class and Reserve Champion Breed-Large Fowl Cochin.

Hot Cheetoes took Grand Champion Rhode Island Red , Grand Champion American Class and Reserve Champion Large Fowl.

Dorothy got a blue.

Toothless was a crowd favorite and got so many pictures taken, he is probably famous on someone's video 🤣

The puppy dogs of the chicken world, great for beginners and kids!
Docile & Friendly: Considered one of the friendliest breeds, often acting as "lap chickens," making them ideal for families.
Broodiness: Cochins are notorious for being broody, meaning they love to sit on eggs and make excellent mothers, often used to hatch eggs from other breeds.
Slow-paced: They are not active foragers, preferring to stay close to home, and are easily contained.
Eggs: They lay large brown eggs, but not prolifically. Expect 2-4 eggs per week.
Maturity: They are slow to develop, often not laying until 8 months of age.
