Thankful it’s the weekend!! Oh wait, I still have work to do 😂 Thankful anyway because you all came through and purchased some of these blooms this afternoon in the farm stand 💗 I literally chased a guy down I’ve seen stealing arrangements for the last month, wrote down his license plate # and made eye contact as he sped away. I promptly came in and researched his plates to find out his car is registered to a woman in her 70’s (I’m assuming his mom?) I sat down and wrote a letter pleading that if she was the recipient of his stolen flowers that she know the truth and to please consider convincing him to please pay in full as I’m a mom supporting my family with this income... There is a VERY slim chance this is going to work 😂 but it made me feel better that his karma might catch up with him. There are so many honest, amazing customers that I really appreciate, it would be a shame for one bad apple to ruin a good thing.

We’ve had a few new followers join us recently, so how about a Friday introduction... My name is Stacey, and I’m a mom, flower farmer, appreciator of beauty, wife, drinker of beer coffee and sometimes I like to switch it up with a gin and tonic. I’m a fake-it-til-you make it, never give up, take no s**t, hardworking flower farmer who started on this journey a little over 2 years ago. I love animals (we have quite a few on the farm), take joy in thrifting and photography and really appreciate all the positive feedback our IG followers have given us over the last year. We’ve put a lot of sweat and tears (probably even some blood from my husband) into this small farm and I feel like we’re getting our feet under us this year. I’m really excited to grow these flowers and everyone who takes time to support us, comment and generally send good vibes into our universe is SO APPRECIATED! Thank you all for following along, appreciating the beauty we’ve grown, and supporting a local small business through purchasing our flowers
💗💗💗😘

Another ‘next year’ crop for me- stock. I will say this is a vast improvement over last year (yay for baby steps!) and I have a few changes I’m making to my growing practices to 🤞 have an actual success for 2019! There’s no better learning in flower farming than going through the motions yourself. Unfortunately, another try often means waiting a full calendar year... These fragrant beauties are destined for some weddings and the farm stand over the next couple weeks.

A moody view from my dirty workbench... never will I lose inspiration from these flowers even if I grew the same varieties every season. So many color and texture combinations, inspiration runs wild...in another life I’d be a photographer or a painter 💕

Putting together some stand flowers for tomorrow morning! I’ve been busy with a few weddings this week, and the stand has fallen by the wayside. I appreciate everyone’s patience with lulls this season in the stand flowers. If ever you want to pop over and it’s out of your way- never hesitate to message and inquire if the stand is fully stocked! I’m a one-woman show around here and between watering, weeding, emails, weddings, dinner and a toddler it’s hard to keep all the balls in the air this time of year!

A small sampling of some wedding flowers I’ve put together this week... I’m dying to share the rest - it’s turned out SO GOOD! The most exciting part of my job is curating a gorgeous palette of luscious wedding flowers for someone’s special day 💗💗💗 Roses, sweet peas, cosmos and bachelor buttons among them, this wedding is going to have the most romantic vibe ✨🌿 Brides that support local flowers are the greatest! There is absolutely nothing greater than seeing the flowers you’ve painstakingly grown, beautify someone’s wedding day💗💗💗

While only about 2 feet tall, some of my sweet peas are still flowering and their little beautiful faces are motivating me to do better next year 😂 This is my mantra for certaincrops... ‘Next year!’!

Making last-minute adjustments to some notes for a presentation this afternoon at a local high school farm program up the street! I’m mostly excited (and a little bit nervous) to share a brief bit about our small flower farm with some young ambitious minds, and fellow farmers. The only thing more exciting than growing crops, is growing someone’s future dreams 🌱 Our early summer crops are budded up (first pic) and our mid summer and fall crops are growing-in nicely! Potential all-around 💗

More rose-goodness!! This shows 3 of the 4 colors we’re growing of the DA’s and it’s been fun to get excited feedback from you all about these new roses. We’ve been working our tails off the last few months, working 6-7 days a week getting all the seedlings planted, fertilized, pinched, and weeded. I’m proud to say I grew them all from seed and planted them myself! It has been a ton of work but nothing is more gratifying than harvesting armloads (and hopefully van-loads) of blooms for you all mid summer-fall. The dahlias are looking great, snaps are budding, and excitement is building!! Happy Sunday 💗💗💗

Farm stand bouquet- someone PLEASE come buy this tomorrow because if not I’m bringing it in the house to enjoy. One of my favorites... but aren’t they all. Every designer knows they put a piece of themselves in everything they create... ✨🍬💞
