Baby Moo 🩵

Our first calf was born yesterday and we are in love.

Joy did an amazing job, he was dry, walking, and had nursed by the time we went out to meet him.

He is so fluffy, already curious and friendly; we are thrilled to have him here!

September 💛

I thrifted this enamel bowl here locally shortly after we moved, it has some rusty spots and a small hole on the rim.

It’s typically hanging on the wall by that little hole, right above the Thai Constellation.

It has been filled many times over the last several years with garden abundance; veggies, fruit, flowers, herbs.

These last fall harvests are always a little special, the last of the freshness leading into what has been preserved.

The sign the season of rest is near.

Blooms 🌸

We had such a fun year with flowers!

Many seeds were sown from February through July, new to us varieties and some tried and true blooms.

We shared their joy with others and they have been in every room of the house all season.

In the middle of September and this absurd heat wave there are still blooms all over the garden begging to be cut and gathered with others for all the floral sunshine we could ever want!

There are rows of blooms hung upside down to dry in as many corners as I can find and I find myself smiling each time I see them.
