Behind the scenes, I’ve always believed that food should taste like home and love your body back. Being named a featured culinary partner for the Executive Exchange Expo: Nurses Edition hosted by the Prince George’s County Executive’s Office is such a full-circle moment. 🌿✨

Nurses give so much of themselves every single day to care for our community. To be able to pour that care back into them through real, scratch-made, blood-sugar-balanced food is an honor. Healing truly starts at the table, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share our table with over 250 of Prince George’s County’s finest healthcare heroes this Wednesday!

Huge thank you to County Executive Aisha Braveboy and the Office of Strategic Partnerships for bringing us together.

Saturday’s Red, Black & Gold Birthday Block Party was everything — from our signature Peach BBQ Meatballs to the Create-Your-Own Slider Bar, every plate told a story. The deviled eggs disappeared first (always a good sign 😉), and watching guests build their perfect charcuterie moment? Chef’s kiss.

Ever get hit with that heavy “itis” feeling right after lunch? Or find yourself desperately searching for something sweet just to get through the afternoon? 

When I was an Accountant, I thought waking up tired was just part of the hustle. It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with PCOS (which scientists are finally realizing is a metabolic condition, more on this later…) and pre-diabetes that I realized my body was screaming for help. 

Instead of just taking pills or a GLP-1, I worked used my analytical background with the support of a nutritionist to create balanced meals that enabled me to lose 15lbs in 3 months and reverse my pre-diabetes in under 6 months.

You don’t have to suffer through brain fog, stubborn belly fat, or creeping cholesterol numbers. I did the macro-counting and the deep research so you don’t have to.

Same Roots, Different Branches. 🇭🇹✨
There is something so powerful about the way food tells our story.
I had the honor of attending the pre-press event for the at the .usa and I am still reflecting on the experience. Listening to the history of the festival’s origins and its mission, I was deeply moved. As a woman of the Black Diaspora, it was a beautiful reminder that despite where we landed, we are truly more alike than we are different. Our flavors, our rhythms, and our resilience all stem from the same soul.
