Dear Friends and Partners,
Thank you for your patience over the past year as the board examined the situation at Sprouting Farms. We know the farm has served to be a community space, growing space, and source for local foods for the community. Unfortunately, due to lack of funds, the board has come to the decision to close down Sprouting Farms Corp entirely. Per the resolution passed October 29, 2024: The Board will officially dissolve Sprouting Farms Corp. non-profit once all obligations to funding agencies, grant partners, and vendors are met, within reason, no later than 12/31/2025.
The board is gathering input and feedback on the future of the Sprouting Farms site and property. Through December 15, 2024, the board is accepting viable proposals for transfer and use of the property to a nonprofit or governmental agency. Letter of Intent to submit a proposal must be submitted by Dec 15, 2024 to [email protected]. Full viable proposals must be to the board by January 31, 2025.
Even if partners and stakeholders do not have a proposal, we value your input and thoughts on the future of the Sprouting Farms property. We invite input and feedback via two community input sessions. The board values the community’s support and prefers that the property remain as a community agricultural asset. The board will review proposals and take into account community input in making our decision.
