Wake up! It's April! Time to plan your summer's bounty. Birch Creek Ranch is waking up too, and ONLINE ORDERING is now available through May 1 to reserve hanging baskets, veggie starts, and bedding flowers. With pick up options toward the end of May at Flying Squirrel on Wednesday afternoons or at the farm on Saturdays. Come by Flying Squirrel this weekend for... cabbages, kale, beautiful winter squashes, cherry tomatoes, romanesco, the first of the freshly dug potatoes, and some APPLES! We made up a few 6 pound bags of apples 🍎 if you have time to cook up a batch of applesauce!

The bounty is HERE. Stop in Flying Squirrel anytime during business hours for:
Cucumbers - Broccoli - Lettuce - Zucchini
Yellow Squash - Cherry Tomatoes - Snap Peas
Kale - Chard - Peonies - and more!
ALSO, UPICK RED CURRANTS AND SERVICEBERRIES available at the farm, Friday-Sunday 11am-6pm. Black currants ready next week.

Currants are ripening up! We will open the farm for UPICK red currants and serviceberries next Friday, August 8. Come on out to Birch Creek Ranch on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-6pm and fill your buckets! Black currants may still be a tad too tart next weekend but will definitely be ready by the 15th.
UPICK RULES AND REMINDERS:
*please leave dogs at home
*children MUST BE SUPERVISED at all times
*bring your own buckets and sign in/weigh them in the tent when you arrive
*CASH highly preferred, if you need to pay another way, you must find Brian to check out
*the patch CLOSES at 6pm, please plan to start picking early enough to be paid up and packed out by 6pm!
*locals may contact Brian directly to prearrange different days/times to pick
*do not leave any TRASH, FOOD, or DRINKS in the patch, it will attract bears and we may close the patch forever if we find any! In other words, CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED at all times.

Hello friends. We did get vegetables planted this spring. Come by Flying Squirrel Bakery Cafe any time they are open to fill up your fridge and your body with fresh, healthy, locally grown produce from Birch Creek Ranch! Currently available: gorgeous peonies, chard, kale, bok choy, mizuna, lettuce and zucchini. More to come!

Birch Creek Ranch Greenhouses - 2025 Update
Here's to good spring snow and a happy break up! We are late as usual to get the word out for this spring's greenhouse plans. Brian is working solo this spring and still has a large pile of projects (including installing new solar panels!). This year, the greenhouses will not be open for in person shopping. You can PRE-ORDER BASKETS, FLOWERS AND SOME VEGETABLES ONLINE - https://talkeetnafarm.square.site ! We will offer pickups for smaller orders at Flying Squirrel Bakery on select dates (Wednesday & Saturday afternoons 5/21-31). Larger orders will arrange pickup at the farm Tuesdays or Thursdays (5/20-6/3). A one time clean-out sale will be announced for the first week of June. Flower offerings are now posted on the website and available until sold out, but quantities may be reduced after May 1. Additional vegetable offerings will be added April 15. Order soon to beautify your porch or garden! And thank you for supporting our local, family run, 40+ year labor of love.
