YOLO Acres An 1820 map shows Talking Rock Creek as "Rolling Stone Creek." One theory suggests the name could have come from an "echo rock," a natural echo chamber.

YOLO Acres is a roughly 15-acre wooded compound and developing sustainable/regenerative farm founded in 2020 in Talking Rock, Pickens County, Georgia.

It includes a farmhouse, large barn/workshop, renovated loft bunkhouse, well infrastructure, trails, mature hardwoods and pines, wildlife, western mountain views, and abundant property-origin stone including quartz, marble/feldspar and other geological material.

The long-term project is to turn the land itself into an integrated lifestyle and commercial ecosystem encompassing regenerative agriculture, mushrooms, orchard/agroforestry, poultry, woodworking from property trees, rocks and mineral specimens, tumbled stones, Talking Rock Gems jewelry, “Acres of Diamonds” geological products, w**e, hospitality/experiences and YOLO Acres merchandise.

The governing brand idea is “You Only Live Once”: preserve the property’s authenticity, improve it incrementally, make it increasingly sustainable and productive, and create products whose value comes from genuine provenance - stone from the land, wood from its trees, food from the farm and experiences rooted in the place.
