Thank you, Ireland Farms, for the nutritious “salad” you shared with our Purebred Berkshires! Scott did not want his cold damaged vegetables to go to waste! We love the network and generous hearts of the Farmers/Ranchers of Pepper Place Farmer’s Market!

Last weekend brought challenges for local farmers/ranchers to keep their livestock fed, watered and warm and their fruits and vegetables covered and protected. Thankfully, Alabama just does not see weather like that often! So please find comfort knowing the lengths to which YOUR farmers/ranchers went to see that….
animals had plenty of hay in multiple
locations so all could eat
whenever they wanted…
that pigs had hay both out and under
cover they could nest into…
that chickens had lights put on them…
that the horse’s feed and water were
kept indoors to make it more readily
eaten and drunk…
that vegetables were covered….
that $ was spent to run greenhouse
heaters…
and so much more I don’t even know
about…
We all value what God has blessed us with and entrusted to us and we know that people trust us to provide these products for their families. We take all of this Very Seriously!

We were scheduled to be at the 1st Winter Market this Saturday, January 31 but it is just going to be too COLD! And, we need to be sure the animals here on the farm are taken care of to the best of our ability which may involve chopping ice!!!!!
Stay warm and we will let you know when we will be coming with Beef, Pork and Veal.

This Saturday, December 13, is the last Pepper Place market of 2025 and we are stocked!!!!
Beef, Pork and Veal! Please come visit, pick up delicious pastured meats for your holiday meals and stock up your freezers for the winter!
