First vaquero beans are ready 😍 I plant beans in between my tomato plants for natural mulch and some nitrogen fixing. These were ready just as my tomatoes are about done for the season. Since summer is nowhere near done, I also planted a few more rows of these.

All the pigs are loving the summer squash plants from the neighbors. My healthy little pigs love their veggies.

This is what half a ton of pig feed looks like. It seems like a ridiculous amount of food but the babies are growing fast and 50 pound bags were no longer economical or practical. They get lots of nuts and garden scraps but the feed is still necessary. Eventually we'll have the infrastructure right to get them into the woods to forage more on their own.

Some piglets are already claimed but there are still lots that will be perfect for the freezer full grown in winter or earlier if you're looking to do a moderate sized pig roast on the smoker or BBQ. PM for more details.

How fun are these tromboncino squash? I'm literally drowning in summer squash but I'll never stop growing these. They're dense like a patty pan squash with similar flavor. They climb and have pretty good resistance to squash borers.
