The wind is moving through the live oaks, the humidity took the day off, and the temperature never got the memo that it’s June in Florida.

The cattle are content, the grass is moving with the breeze, and for a moment, everything feels a little slower.

Calving season is one of our favorite times of year at Ayavalla Preserve.

So far, more than 80 calves have arrived this season, with new life continuing to be welcomed across the Preserve each week.

Each calf represents more than the growth of a herd. It represents the continuation of a stewardship philosophy that recognizes the connection between livestock, healthy soil, clean water, wildlife habitat, and the long-term care of this land.

We chose Mashona cattle because their genetics align with our commitment to thoughtful, regenerative stewardship and a future measured not in seasons, but in generations.

Ayavalla Preserve is hiring a full-time Land & Livestock Assistant.

We’re looking for someone dependable, hardworking, observant, and passionate about land stewardship, livestock care, and regenerative agricultural practices.

This is a hands-on position supporting daily cattle operations, land management, fencing, and overall preserve operations.

Experience with livestock or agriculture is preferred, but a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and respect for the land and animals matter most.

It’s calving season at Ayavalla Land Company!

New life is arriving daily, with many more mamas due any day now. Thanks to our regenerative farming practices, our calves are born right onto open pasture—just as nature intended. 🌾
They’ll grow up grazing native grasses, free from pesticides and chemicals, living in harmony with the land from day one. 🐮🌱
