I was in my happy place this morning with Cole from Southern Oyster Farms. He has expanded the farm and is growing beautiful oysters. Being out there was wonderful. I am so proud of him and his oyster business.

One of the best parts of this campaign has been meeting the hardworking oystermen and oystering families who help make North Florida so special. Their work puts food on our tables, supports local families, and keeps a tradition alive that’s been part of our communities for generations.

Protecting our oysters means protecting our natural resources, our local economy, and a way of life worth preserving for the next generation in our little corner of the state 🦪💙

Oyster Party time!

At little B.Y.O.B. pop-up oyster shops, known as kakigoya, customers don colorful plastic ponchos and gather over grills with family and friends. Drinks are poured, songs are sung and the chill of winter gives way to spring on the picturesque coast.
