Tampa, one of our own could use some love โฅ๏ธ
Many of you have probably heard about the devastating fire at Reneโs Mexican Kitchen. Thankfully, everyone is safe and no one was injured, but the business has suffered a tremendous loss.
Reneโs isnโt just a restaurant. Itโs a locally owned business, a livelihood, a team of employees and another piece of the Tampa community that so many of us have spent years supporting.
Right now, one of Reneโs biggest priorities is making sure his employees are taken care of, including payroll, while he begins the difficult process of replacing inventory and figuring out what comes next. Items that werenโt destroyed by the fire also suffered water damage.
A GoFundMe has been created to help give Rene and his team the push they need to get back on their feet.
Southern may have closed our doors, but the community that supported us for so many years still means everything to us. We know firsthand how powerful Tampa can be when it rallies around a local business.
If youโre able to donate, please do. If you canโt, sharing this post and the fundraiser is just as important.
