We got the chance to visit ‘s cow/calf operation in Dade City this week and we talked to the rancher himself, Mr. Joe Planz.

Mr. Planz says he’s been raising their beef the proper way from the beginning, with practices like rotational grazing, good pasture management including no tilling, and avoiding antibiotics or growth hormones. More info in our newsletter this week! Sign up through the link in our bio 🥩

Cover crops make the world go round! 🌱 If you’re new here, a cover crop is a plant (or multiple types of plants in our case) that we plant in the off season to improve soil health. They are used primarily to slow erosion, increase soil fertility, enhance water availability, cover the soil surface, and smother weeds.

Healthy soil produces healthy plants which produce healthy, nutrient dense, tasty vegetables 😋🌱 Cover cropping is a good agricultural practice that enriches the ecosystem we work with directly, allowing us to grow food in combination with nature, not against it.
