Sewell's Farm Cut-your-own Christmas trees, already cut trees, live trees, greens, and Christmas store. Sewell’s Farm was established in 1984 in Carroll County.

We started out with strawberries, produce, and general farming, which allowed us to discover the joy in providing for the local public. So, we began planting Christmas trees on our farm. Seven years, and a lot of hard work & TLC brought our first harvest and we have been replanting to have continual tree availability ever since. We dig trees for our wholesale customers and maintain this farm for you to choose and cut. Our family helps to assure you have a pleasant holiday experience at Sewell's Farm. We provide assistance with cutting, if necessary, and transporting your tree to our free baling area. We hope you have a wonderful and pleasant time choosing that special Christmas tree. Today, Sunday 12/21, is the final day for shopping at our farm for the 2025 season. Need a last minute gift? We still have beautiful trees, wreaths, and greens, not to mention ornaments, candles and other decorations. The cut your own fields will close at 4 PM, and the farm/store will close for the season at 4:30 PM. 🌲🎁

Travelin' Tom's Coffee ☕of Hanover will be at the farm one last time this Saturday 12/20/25. Get your last minute Christmas shopping done, cut your own tree🎄, or choose a fresh cut tree🎄from our lot. The farm will close for the year on Sunday 12/21/25 at 4:30 PM. We are open daily 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Cut your own fields close at 4 PM.

Whether you’re coming to get a tree or just want to shop local businesses, this event is all about bringing the greater Taneytown community together in support of our small businesses. We will operate our normal 9-4:30 hours.

We're turning downtown Taneytown into a Winter Market. Find joy in the magic of the holidays with friends and neighbors.

Market hours: 10 AM - 4 PM. Shops may be open later.

Vendors will be up and down Baltimore St with special attractions throughout downtown.
Stroll along with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee.
Take a photo with Santa at the Santa House or just relax for a bit in the magical Christmas Garden.
