JUST IN! Limited Edition Citadelle Gin

Unexpected? Absolutely. Delicious? Surprisingly, yes.

This one is definitely for the curious. Citadelle Gin Original is infused with real Burgundy cornichons, bringing bright, herby, vinegary, and slightly salty notes to the glass, with a little mustard and pearl onion hanging around on the finish.

Pickle lovers, this might be your new favorite gin. 👀

One name you’ll want to remember. Meet Thijs (pronounced like “nice” with a “T”).

For five years, Thijs has been part of the heart of The Cellar, and we’re lucky to have the only Level 3 Sommelier in the County on our team. His knowledge of wine runs deep, but what makes him special is his genuine love for sharing it with the people who walk through our doors.

His favorite part of the job? Great colleagues and getting to talk about wine all day. His favorite product? A Magnum of Riesling. And the song that lives rent-free in his head? “Baker Street” by Gerry Rafferty.

As Thijs puts it, there’s one simple sign of a good day at The Cellar: any day Brent makes no wine puns is a good day.

Tomorrow's tasting lineup features a selection of wines from some of the world's most renowned volcanic wine regions. 🌋 What makes these wines so fascinating is the influence of the volcanic soils on the grapes, often revealing distinctive mineral notes and a sense of place that you can truly taste in the glass.

A highly unconventional wine!

Winemaker Louis Barruol, of the historic Château de Saint Cosme in the Rhône Valley, boldly pairs these two grapes, which are rarely grown in the same terroir. Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier grapes.

The 2023 Saint Cosme Micro-Cosme combines Sauvignon Blanc's bright citrus and minerality with Viognier's soft notes of white peach, apricot, and flowers. Excellent alongside fresh garden salads, ceviche, shellfish, and grilled fish.
