Hay season is just around the corner!

New Holland 489 Haybine For Sale- $4,000
We recently updated hay mowers so the old mower is for sale. We have owned the machine for 25-30 years. We have repaired anything needing it. Everything has been greased before and after each time it was used. It has not been used since the 2023 season. It works great, we have used it on 20-40 acres a year of grass hay. It recently just got out of the shop getting a new roller track and rollers for the basket. A list of all repairs is included in the pictures. It comes with a box of brand new sickle sections and bolts and two bolts for the sickle head.

We pulled this machine with a 45hp tractor and a 75hp tractor. Worked very well behind both. If you have any questions please contact Dustin (660)623-9441. Located in Tarkio, MO.

We are not able to deliver, we don’t have a dock, and we do not have a way to lift it onto a trailer.

Dam raised 2024 Champion Poland Gilt at the Kansas State Fair and many county fair champions the past two years. This is probably her best litter yet! Dam was Champion Poland gilt and Reserve Purebred gilt at the 2023 Atchison County Fair in Missouri.

"What should I start my new pig on? How much should I be feeding?"

A question we get asked all the time, with the consistent answer of "well, it just depends!" It depends on what kind of pig you bought!

The truth is there's dozens of different ways to start the journey, but you have to start somewhere.

Here's a simple chart of making your initial Sunglo feeding decision based on the amount of muscle your pig has. The amount of muscle is often the easiest thing for people to "read", especially if they're just starting out.

Another good rule of thumb is the 3% rule.

If your pig weighs 100 lbs., then 3% of that pig's bodyweight is approximately 3 lbs., which is how much feed you should expect that pig to eat in a day. In other words, 1.5 lbs. of feed, twice a day, is what successful families do.

Just remember, every pig is different. Every pig will feed differently. Keep them healthy, keep them hydrated, keep them consuming for your best chance in the end.
