European Specialties European Specialties has been handcrafting and selling unique gourmet meat and fish products in and around Los Angeles for over 30 years.

European Specialties has been specializing in authentic, handcrafted, classically and ethnically correct, primarily Eastern-European sausages, hams, salamis and other meat and poultry products (70+ varieties) for over 30 years. Almost a decade ago European Specialties added a second brand dedicated to 20+ varieties of patented, high-end, gourmet seafood sausages, salamis, wood smoked fish and fish

ery products, and ultra-high-end, sustainable and controversy-free fish Foie Gras products, available seasonally. In December of 2013, having obtained kosher certification by Igud Hakashrus of Los Angeles (aka Kehilla Kosher), European Specialties entered Glatt Kosher market by adding two more brands: one dedicated to a variety of classically and ethnically-correct as well as novel-flavored Glatt Kosher grilling sausages, breakfast links, cooked and dry-cured salamis, deli meats, on- and off-the-bone hams and other forms of meat and poultry charcuterie totaling over 50 tantalizing varieties, as well as vegetarian and vegan, health-conscious sausages and patties along with private label, Chalav Yisrael cheeses and dairy products aimed at the discerning gourmets keeping strictly kosher; and the second one dedicated to kosher fish sausages and salamis. While employing the most cutting-edge technologies to maintain utmost quality and safety of our products along with extending shelf life, we are still a small batch processor allowing us to always remain focused on delivering the ultimate culinary experience for every customer and meet and exceed everyone’s expectations, regardless of their palate. Over the years our products have been carried by Chalet Gourmet / Bristol Farms, Gelson’s Markets, Whole Foods Markets, Price Club / Costco, Ron’s Markets, Jon’s Markets, Santa Monica Seafood, Western Glatt Kosher Markets, numerous smaller ethnic markets and various high end hotels and restaurants throughout California, Nevada and Arizona.

Though this page has been quiet for some time now, we have been hard at work behind the scenes and we have some exciting news to share with you: as of January 1st, 2015, through a strategic partnership, European Specialties has formally taken over operations at the Real Kosher plant in Newark, New Jersey.

Additionally, as of the same date, European Specialties has licensed Joburg Kosher brand from Joburg Kosher Foods (www.JoburgKosher.com), with the Joburg brand joining the Holy Cow! Kosher and Shtetl by Holy Cow! Kosher brands under a unified management, product development and marketing effort, with the goal of offering the widest selection of Glatt Kosher products and flavor profiles, minimizing product overlap and offering greater value to our retail and institutional customers.

Products under these brands can currently be found at most kosher markets, the Kosher Experience at the Kroger family of supermarkets and the Vons / Safeway family of supermarkets nationwide.

In the coming weeks and months we will be launching a number of new products, with demonstrations, tastings and roadshows scheduled in various cities throughout the United States. We will be posting announcements as dates and times are finalized.

And finally, we will be releasing our Passover product list next week, so stay tuned!
