John had a master's degree in electrical engineering. He worked at Motorola for 16 years, but he loved farming. One day, he saw a 90-acre land for sale. He discussed it with his wife, and they decided to buy the land. With two children, he had to name the farm; his son suggested that they were happy when they were at the farm, so they named it Two Happy Children Farm. Farming isn't easy, but he worked hard from dawn to dusk. His body hurt, and he faced stress from the weather and equipment problems, but he didn’t give up. With just a little land, they raised their children, who are now successful; one is an entomologist working for Texas A&M, and the youngest is a chemical engineer working for a semiconductor in South Austin. His dream is complete, and he is proud as a father and a farmer.
