๐จ URGENT: Helping a Horse Sanctuary Find a New Home for Their Herd ๐ด๐ค
Iโm reaching out to help a dear friend who runs a horse sanctuary and is urgently looking for a safe, long-term property for her herd.
Due to recent circumstances at their current property, there are serious concerns about the animalsโ safety and long-term stability. As a precaution, they are now actively searching for a new place where the horses, donkeys, miniature horses, and other sanctuary animals can be safe and where the sanctuary can continue its work.
Weโre hoping to connect with a private landowner or find an off-market property in or around the greater Austin area, ideally within about an hour of Northwest Austin.
What theyโre looking for:
๐ด 15โ20+ usable acres
๐ด Space for horses, donkeys, miniature horses & other sanctuary animals
๐ด Safe fencing and pasture, or permission to make practical improvements
๐ด A barn with approximately 6โ7 stalls, or space to add them
๐ด Reliable water access
๐ด A home on the property
๐ด Long-term lease strongly preferred
An older home, barn, or property that needs some work could absolutely be a great fit. Theyโre experienced with animal and property care and are willing to put the time, work, and love into the right property.
If you own a property that might be a fit, know a landowner, or have an off-market lead, please comment below and weโll reach out or feel free to DM. Even a simple introduction could make a huge difference for this herd. ๐ค
