Got a more secured roof on the one of the goat houses before the hurricane last week. Still working on the design and want to make it lighter. But they are keeping everyone happy and dry, so I’ll take it.-G.H.

It was 2 years ago today that we laid our Rocky boy to rest…he was Bekka heart horse. He was kind, gentle, and the best boy for her to learn how to handle a horse without worrying when she’s made a mistake. Towards the end he seemed to know Bekka was pregnant, nuzzling her stomach, and being extra loving. He touched many hearts and left a lasting impact. There will never be another boy like him-G.H.

My dad and mom got me this 18v to 12v adapter in 2024 for Christmas…my dad never got to see me open it. I’ve thought of using it several times since then, but nothing seemed right. Well today as I was looking at 12v batteries online it occurred to me that maybe I should finally use it. I know my Dad would be so thrilled how easy and well it worked, and I’m using it along side the Massimo with a new sprayer. Keeping the Legacy alive.-G.H.

What reminds you of home? For me it’s a big weekend breakfast. It didn’t happen every weekend, some times it was sugary cereal that was on sale. But when you heard bacon sizzling, you knew a big breakfast was in store. We decided a while ago that Saturday’s were for flaky grands biscuits and Sunday’s were for cinnamon rolls, and of course Saturday morning cartoons. Just trying to give our daughter a little bit of the magic and simple life we enjoyed

I had grand plans to get a proper roof installed on this goat shed. But as I laid the plywood down I realized what I and the store thought was a full 8ft sheet had been cut or returned about 4-6 inches too short. With rain on the horizon I had to get creative. Is it pretty or aesthetically pleasing? No. Will it keep the house and goats dry until I can get a replacement sheet and the roof installed? Yes. It doesn’t have to be pretty to work.

I was always told goats will find a way. And for years I thought we just got lucky with pretty chill goats. Well they must have finally got board cause over the last few months they have been havoc on our privacy fence. So this weekend we added 2x4 wire fence so they couldn’t push the boards off. Hopefully this will end the deconstruction until I can make them a hobby house.

I was looking through my notes today looking for a quote and stumbled upon something I wrote last year, but never shared. As I read it, I was filled with tears cause the words are still true today as they were then. As I searched for a photo I laughed and cried cause eventually I’ll run out of photos cause there are no new ones. But I’m so thankful for the ones I have. Love and miss you Dad-G.H.

We need your help! We have been working on signs for when we let the herd travel to friends, but can’t decide which one we like better. So we though we would get your opinion 😊

You ever have those moments when you stop and realize you are living your dream? Yesterday I was outside grilling some ButcherBox pork tenderloins and watching the goats and chickens graze and learn about our Gallagher North America electric netting. And as I’m videoing trying to catch a little shock 🤣 it occurred to me this is what I dreamt of. A family and farm all of my own.

This is my first time using this platform in this way. As a family of doers and dreamers, we didn’t want to have a page for every passion or hobby. While we might have to separate them eventually for now we are going to try it this way. All that being said, I wanted to share with you something a wrote a couple weeks ago. My notes app is filled with a lot of writing and reflections, some of which might never be seen. But I feel this is one that has the potential to help others and so I hope you enjoy, Guided Access.
