Ok, turns out Rachel really wasn't all that 'overconditioned'. She was simply pregnant with 3 large babies. She produced 3 'black and whites' with blue eyes--2 Doelings and one Buckling. The kidding season has begun!!

Spring is in the air and pregnant Does are everywhere! Rachel is 'very' pregnant and expecting soon. She is a black/white coated ND Doe with blue eyes. When bred with Noah, they produce blue eyed, large gray/black/cream coated kids. She is a bit 'overconditioned' as our vet would say but she also tends to deliver twins/triplets.

Glade Creek Farm Taylorsville, NC 'Desperate times call for Desperate measures'. Newborn sweat jackets from Walmart under $6--shout out to Lee Ann for the idea. All of our stalls are stuffed waist high with straw for warmth and we have stocked up on high quality hay for the upcoming storm. Goodness, why can't the weathermen be wrong like they almost always are?

Glade Creek Farm, Taylorsville NC: Our new Doe, JoJo, delivered twins yesterday afternoon. With lows in the 20's last night I begged my hubby to let me bring her and the goats kids up into the garage with the buddy heater. He said, "No way. It will have to be the survival of the fittest." He talks a mean game but....
