Just ate my first homegrown tomato of the summer, it reminded me of getting in trouble with dad because I ate all the tomatoes out of the garden. 😂 Good memories on Elm Farm🍅

I just realized that the history of our farm is not on here and for those of you who are interested I think I’m gonna tell you a little bit about it. It first started with two people their names were Edgar Wesley Monroe and Patricia Anne Ring Monroe they fell in love in Texas and Patricia came home to Kentucky with Edgar and started their life together. They were married in the courthouse in Taylorsville in 1963 and once they had the money together to buy their farm they purchased a piece of land in Waterford but didn’t know what to call their farm...there was an old barn back in the backfield and it had to Elm trees that had started at the same time and had been growing together (plus they held up that old barn) and right then they decided that they were going to call this place Elm farm now to make it more interesting the Lord blessed them with three beautiful girls and their initials are E, L and M Elisa, Laura and Marguerite so these three girls grew up on this farm knowing this is where they belonged.
