Apple butter part 2!! is there anything more satisfied than looking at the fruits of all of your hard work all day?! I don’t think so!

Part one of making apple butter!! This is a super easy crockpot recipe that anyone can do!

Recipe (multiply as necessary):
-5 pounds of apples
-1 cup brown sugar
-1 tbsp cinnamon
-1/2 tsp nutmeg
-1/4 tsp cloves
- salt to taste

Peel and core your apples. Add to crockpot. Add all other ingredients. Cook on LOW for 8-10 hours. Can per usual routine.

I have tons of fruit and vegetables that need to be dealt with… So that’s what we’re doing. To say I’m up to my eyeballs would be an understatement! Anyways, let’s have some fun this week. 🩷

If you’re near Taylorsville, Ky… go check out Lavender Pickle/JeffnMichelle Brewer at their market located at 724 Taylorsville Rd. They always have a wonderful assortment of fruits, veggies, and flowers! Their prices can’t be beat and the owners are always so friendly when we stop by.

Beekeeping is my peace.

We started this journey because we were interested in the hobby. What we didn’t know is that we would gain so much more than a hobby. The intentionality, the thoughtfulness, the quiet planning, and all of the things in between have been the best part of this journey so far.
