Big "M" Berry Patch

Seasonal - Fresh picked vegetables and Strawberries grown on our family farm near Taylorville.

Approximately 20 acres of vegetables and strawberries grown on our centennial family farm located 3 miles southwest of Taylorville. Season begins mid April with the daily harvest of asparagus and continues till Halloween. Pick your own strawberry season begins around June first and last about three weeks. All produce is available weekly at the Taylorville Farmers Market each Saturday morning from

At this week's Taylorville Farmers Market - Saturday August 29, 2026 - 9 am til 12:00 pm at the Taylorville Manners Park Chatauqua Building. We plan on setting up inside the Chatauqua Building again this week.
SUPER SWEET SWEETCORN - We posted last week that it was our final week for sweetcorn this year. Well, we lied. We were able to walk the patch that we picked last week and were able to pick around 30 dozen ears that we will have for sale at the farmers market. The ears are small so we will be selling 16 ears for the one dozen price. This is definitely our last week for sweetcorn this year.
The rest of our fresh picked produce for sale on Saturday will include; PUMPKIN BLOSSOMS, TOMATOES, NEW POTATOES, ZUCCHINI, CUCUMBERS, BELL PEPPERS, EGGPLANT, HOT PEPPERS, OKRA, a few GREENBEANS, RHUBARB, ONIONS, GARLIC BULBS, and POPCORN.

At this week's Taylorville Farmers Market - Saturday August 22, 2026 - 9 am til 12:00 pm at the Taylorville Manners Park Chatauqua Building. With rain in the forecast again this week, we plan on setting up inside the Chatauqua Building.
SUPER SWEET SWEETCORN - We were able to beat the deer and wildlife to the super sweet sweetcorn patch this week. We will have our last planting of the year for sale at this week's Farmers Market. (see attached photo) The ears are small so we will be selling 15 ears for the one dozen price. This is definitely our last week for sweetcorn this year.
GREENBEANS - Our summer workers have now all gone back to school so this will probably be the final week for any volume of greenbeans.
The rest of our fresh picked produce for sale on Saturday will include; TOMATOES, RED, WHITE, & YUKON GOLD NEW POTATOES, ZUCCHINI, CUCUMBERS, BELL PEPPERS, EGGPLANT, HOT PEPPERS, OKRA, a few BLACKBERRIES, fresh picked RHUBARB, ONIONS, GARLIC BULBS, and POPCORN. If it is not raining on Saturday morning, we will pick and bring PUMPKIN BLOSSOMS.

This week's fresh picked Big M grown produce will feature our fresh handpicked GREENBEANS, SWEETCORN (price reduced & final week), TOMATOES, RED, WHITE, and YUKON GOLD NEW POTATOES, ZUCCHINI, CUCUMBERS, BELL PEPPERS, EGGPLANT, HOT PEPPERS, OKRA, a few BLACKBERRIES, fresh picked RHUBARB, ONIONS, FRESH GARLIC, and POPCORN from the 2025 season. Weather permitting, we will also have PUMPKIN BLOSSOMS.

At this week's Taylorville Farmers Market - Saturday July 18, 2026 - 9 am til 12:00 pm at the Taylorville Manners Park Chatauqua Building. We will have a big variety of our produce again this week. We finished picking this week's produce this morning and is in the cooler ready for tomorrow's Farmers Market. The only exception are the onions; we always pull them early Saturday morning. This week's fresh picked Big M grown produce will feature our TOMATOES, GREENBEANS, RED, WHITE, and YUKON GOLD NEW POTATOES, ZUCCHINI, BEETS, CUCUMBERS, BROCOLI, BELL PEPPERS, EGGPLANT, HOT PEPPERS, a few BLACKBERRIES, fresh picked RHUBARB, GREEN ONIONS, FRESH GARLIC, and POPCORN from the 2025 season.
