This evening turned into one of the scariest evenings of my life, but I also got to see a miracle from God our great Protector and Healer up close and personal.
Rylee was riding her horse ba****ck thru the pasture at a trot, when Tiana stumbled, fell to her knees, and Ry fell over her shoulder but Tiana proceeded to flip, full body over directly onto Rylees body. Tiana jumped up and took off and I ran out to Rylee, where she was unconscious and unresponsive, but breathing with a strong pulse. I called for 911 and Justin immediately and it took several minutes for her to regain consciousness but still couldn't move or hardly focus to respond. She kept fading in and out. The ambulance arrived and they were immediately concerned about a head and spinal injury since she was moving her legs and squeezing both hands. She continuously asked me the same questions thru the entire ambulance ride in a loop effect, she would forget answers within seconds. They called for a helicopter and she was transported alone to Children's in Temple, since there was no room for a parent to go along. I whispered "Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" into her ear and let go of our baby girl to go with the air medics.
All scans showed the miracle- God had protected her from all that I had seen. She should have been crushed hard and had serious injuries- she WAS crushed by 900 lbs of horse. But God... God protected her and she so far has only bruising, soreness and a severe concussion. She is being monitored for the next day or two as an inpatient.
Also, God put our pastor near the area and he came to the hospital and we were met with a familiar face when we arrived, it encouraged us to be loved like that.
The amount of prayer that covered this child is the reason she is not severely hurt or dead. Gods people gathered together in prayer and He showed mercy to His child. We dont deserve mercy. We dont deserve anything good. But He in His goodness blessed us abundantly tonight and I can only worship and praise His ever present love and care.
