I have to apologize for not writing something sooner. For those of you that know we had a pretty substantial fire this summer. I have to admit its taken me some time to wrap my head around it all. My main focus has been to just keep going to finish the season and start fresh next year.
With that said I've tried to write down several times how grateful and how much gratitude we have for everyone's support. Too be honest just saying Thank You seems like the easy way out. I've never taken the easy way out of anything!
I believe its in my nature to not just press forward, but too do it better, smart, faster, and more efficient. I would never be in a position to expand if it wasn't for my community.
For the people that supported us, its more then thank you, its personal!
Too my family, all of you, cousins from the across the country, many I haven't seen in years, some everyday, to all of you, my Portuguese Army, thank you! Too our customers who have supported, and continue to support us at every farmers market, every post like and share, and every single tool, dollar and time that's been donated. Too my friends, my Market Family, former Bank colleagues, child hood friends, small businesses owners in our community. Many of you were mentors to me for many different things. Im almost 52 years old and to have these relationships means the world to me!
I just have one final thing to say and that is how I compare this life event I just experienced. For anyone who knew my Mother Diana J. Silva , she was a Christian. She always said that Jesus puts angels in your path when u need them the most. She also was very fond of the story footprints. For anyone who knows it, it talks about two sets of foot prints in the sand on a beach. One person, and the other was Jesus. At one point in the story the person turns around and only sees one set of footprints. It was during the darkest most trying times in the person's life. He asked Jesus why he left him in his time of need. Jesus answered, i didn't leave you, I carried you! I guess that's how I feel. My community thought enough of our family, the farm, me as person to carry us through. Its a life changing event, when your not just acknowledge by so many, but the work that I did when I thought no one was looking was actually noticed and respected!
I apologize for being so long winded, thank you for reading this far , most importantly thank you for believing in and supporting our farm!
