We had the pleasure of having Dr. Holahan from Caprine & Ewe Veterinary Consulting, PC out today to teach an Artificial Insemination clinic, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The clinic was incredibly informative, hands-on, and such a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about the AI process from start to finish.

We had an awesome group who came ready to learn, ask questions, and have a good time along the way. By the end of the clinic, we successfully inseminated 9 does!

A huge thank you to Dr. Holahan for taking the time to share her knowledge and experience with all of us, and thank you to everyone who came out and made the day so enjoyable!

Now comes the hard part… waiting to see if we have some little AI babies cooking! 🤞🏼

Our 2026 Breeding Plans are officially here! 🐐✨

Our breeding schedule is, for the most part, set in stone, and we’ve already begun breeding for the upcoming season. That being said, pairings are always subject to change if we feel it’s in the best interest of our herd, particularly planned AI breedings.

You’ll notice one of the does is completely blocked out. This is a new doe that we’re incredibly excited to be bringing into the herd, so her information will be released once she gets here after being bred to not spoil who it is!

If you’re interested in purchasing a kid from one of our upcoming breedings, please feel free to reach out! I’m always happy to chat about your goals, what you’re looking to add to your program, and which pairing may be the best fit.

A quick update regarding reservations:
In past years, we’ve always offered free reservations on upcoming kids. While we loved being able to do this, we’ve found that it can sometimes be difficult to gauge serious interest.

Starting this year, we will be requiring a $50 reservation fee to secure your spot on a breeding. This fee will be applied directly toward the final purchase price of your kid.

Our hope is that this small change will help us better keep track of reservations, know who is seriously interested, and make the process smoother and more organized for everyone.

As always, 50% of the purchase price will be due once kids are born, with the remaining balance due at pickup.

After much thought I’ve decided to list Raptor as he’s only on my schedule for a couple of does this year since we own 5 boys and I’ll be heavily utilizing a few of those🫣 it doesn’t make sense for him to sit here and not have much work. Raptor is a stylish uphill, level guy on strong feet and legs, that exhibits a long bone pattern, and boasts masculinity. Raptor has been shown by us and has earned a Grand Champion leg and went Reserve at a different show.

His Dam, Castle Rock Trisaratops is a stunning doe that appraised EEEE91 and comes from an incredible line of consistent animals. His sires line is very well known through his Sires Dam, SG Redstone SF Dark Star 4*M VEEE92. Dark Star was breed leader and made the ELITE list for 6 consecutive years (2016-2021). Raptor has daughters on the ground that freshened last year with more that freshened this year. We had several Raptor kids born this year that I'm really liking so far, and a few will be bred this year!

Artificial Insemination Clinic — LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE! 🐐

We’re excited to be hosting an AI Clinic with Dr. Holahan on the 29th of August!

We currently have room to add a few more does for anyone interested in bringing their own doe and getting some hands-on experience with the AI process. We will be covering Transcervical Artificial Insemination.

Not quite ready to AI your own does but want to learn? You’re welcome to attend the lecture portion of the clinic and stay to watch the AI process as well! This is a great opportunity to learn more about artificial insemination, timing, preparation, technique, and the overall process without needing to bring a doe.

Whether you’re hoping to start incorporating AI into your breeding program or simply want to expand your knowledge, we’d love to have you join us!

Please message me if you’re interested in bringing a doe or attending the lecture portion. The cutoff for adding does to the list will be the 14th (sorry I know it’s short notice) as CIDR’s need to be placed on the 15th.

We got home from the Udderside of the mitten show late last night and what a show we had! The show ran so smoothly, we met some new friends and had a blast with everyone. The time has come that we broke our streak and for the first time in 2 years we didn’t bring a ribbon home from a show, however these were some incredibly deep classes with the majority of them needing to be split and placing the top 10 so I’m very proud of how the girls did yesterday 💕

SENIORS
•Aged doe: Hundeholz Haggis 7*M was 4th place ring 1 and 3rd place ring 2 (Haggis didn’t fill her udder as well as hoped for)
•Yearling milker: Hundeholz Pixie Dust was 1st place ring 1 and 2nd place ring 2

JUNIORS
•Senior Kid: Rose Hill Farm AllDaddy’sMoney was 3rd ring 1 and 10th ring 2
•Senior kid: Rose Hill Farm Billie Eilish was 5th place ring 1 and 2nd place ring 2
•Senior kid: Rose Hill Farm A Dazzling Diva was 4th place ring 1 and 3rd place ring 2
•Dry Yearling: Rose Hill Farm Special Brownie was 9th place ring 2 (brownie was a Christmas Eve kid so held her own against all the mature yearlings, she was also shown by a 4yr old💕
•Dry yearling: Winning Streak P Queen Zinnia was 4th place ring 1 and 2nd place ring 2
