Night checks are extra sweet when you walk up to see momma and baby snuggles! We dual raised for the first time this year and I’m not gonna lie, seeing the bonds some of these girls have with their kids is just the sweetest thing!

Earlier this year, I ripped out our large stalls and the existing walkway to completely rework the floor plan in our barn, allowing us to make better use of the space. I also added a dedicated milk room, which was very much needed!

Of course, show season rolled around, life got busy, and once the milk room was finished, the rest of the barn renovation got put on the back burner. Well, the past couple of days I’ve finally gotten back to it! I’ve finished tearing out the remaining old stalls, built a new wall with a gate at the front of the barn, and started painting today!

When we bought our house, all the walls in here were white, and let’s be honest, white walls and livestock are not a good combination😂 So, I decided to go with the same blue we’ve used throughout our other barns and that matches the house to tie everything together!

Next on the list is finishing up some OSB on the walls and getting our new kidding stalls moved in! It’s been a work in progress, but I’m so excited to finally see everything coming together. I can’t wait to have this project finished and a more functional setup for kidding season!

✨ CONFIRMED BREEDINGS✨

We had a couple of breedings confirmed today!! Our first is easily one of my favorite pairings for this year, Winning Streak EB Foxface 3*M × Hilltown Meadows Obsidian! 🖤

I absolutely cannot wait to see the kids this girl gives us. After Foxy didn’t take on her planned AI breeding, pairing her with Obsidian was an easy choice to make and honestly, I’m pretty darn excited about how this backup plan turned out! Foxy has been GCH x1, RCH x3 and BUIS x1, we plan to get her back into the show ring in 2027. Foxy has one buck reservation open, so if you’ve been thinking about adding a Foxy son to your herd, snag that last reservation while you can!

And keeping it in the family for our second confirmed breeding… Foxy’s granddaughter, Rose Hill Farm Queen Elizabeth × Wolfivan Island Prince!

Lizzy freshened as a yearling this year, and believe it or not, I ALMOST sold her. One morning I walked into the barn, looked at her mammary and thought, well… I guess you’re staying. 😂 There was just too much there that I liked not to give this girl another freshening and see what she could become.

She has been such a perfect reminder of why I try not to judge those FF does too quickly. They can change and mature so much throughout that first lactation, and Lizzy certainly did. I’m really looking forward to seeing her with another freshening under her belt.

Pairing her with Prince makes this breeding even more exciting. Prince has quite the pedigree behind him, including some of my favorites, GCH Wolfivan CQ Ginger Root 3*M EEEE92, the 2024 ADGA National Champion & Best Udder, along with GCH Castle Rock Tahitian Treasure VVEE91 and GCH Hidden Hills Natural Mystic EEEE92 to name a few, which makes him an especially exciting choice for Lizzy. She still has reservations open☺️

🍀 🎲 Introducing Rose Hill Farm Lucky Streak & Rose Hill Farm Risk Taker! 🎲🍀

Their dam, Hundeholz Dreidel 2*M, really proved herself in the milk pail this year. She was my highest producing doe, consistently giving over 6lbs of milk for most of the year. There are also some impressive relatives throughout her pedigree, including but not limited to maternal sibling GCH Hundeholz It’s Not Snowflake 2*M VEEE90 and paternal sibling GCH Hundeholz Lady Liberty 3*M the 11th place 2yr old at ADGA Nationals 2024 and 17th Place 3yr old at ADGA Nationals 2025!

Their sire, Castle Rock Velosaraptor, earned his first Grand Champion leg last year and was Reserve Champion at another show we took him too. His Dam is Castle Rock Trisaratops. A beautiful doe that appraised EEEE91 and comes from an incredible line of stunning, consistent animals. His sires line is very well known through his Sires Dam, SG Redstone SF Dark Star 4*M VEEE92. Dark Star was breed leader and was ELITE for 6 consecutive years (2016-2021).

I retained both girls this year as I wanted to see the similarities and differences in a sibling pair after they freshen. Both girls have a doeling reservation open!

Our 2026 Breeding Plans are officially here! 🐐✨

Our breeding schedule is, for the most part, set in stone, and we’ve already begun breeding for the upcoming season. That being said, pairings are always subject to change if we feel it’s in the best interest of our herd, particularly planned AI breedings.

You’ll notice one of the does is completely blocked out. This is a new doe that we’re incredibly excited to be bringing into the herd, so her information will be released once she gets here after being bred to not spoil who it is!

If you’re interested in purchasing a kid from one of our upcoming breedings, please feel free to reach out! I’m always happy to chat about your goals, what you’re looking to add to your program, and which pairing may be the best fit.

A quick update regarding reservations:
In past years, we’ve always offered free reservations on upcoming kids. While we loved being able to do this, we’ve found that it can sometimes be difficult to gauge serious interest.

Starting this year, we will be requiring a $50 reservation fee to secure your spot on a breeding. This fee will be applied directly toward the final purchase price of your kid.

Our hope is that this small change will help us better keep track of reservations, know who is seriously interested, and make the process smoother and more organized for everyone.

As always, 50% of the purchase price will be due once kids are born, with the remaining balance due at pickup.

We’re incredibly excited about the pairings we have planned this year and can’t wait to see what this kidding season brings! 🤍

Rise and shine!! We have another confirmed doe today. Winning Streak CM Devine Diva 7*M looks like she might have an army in there💕 Diva is due January 14th. I just made a post yesterday about her doeling we retained this year🥰 Diva’s reservations are open if you’re interested in a kid out of her!

✨ Introducing Rose Hill Farm A Dazzling Diva ✨

Another one of our show girls who somehow made it through the entire season without a proper introduction! Better known around the barn as Dazzle, a young doe we’re really excited to have here. She is another one that really held her own in the show ring this year staying in the top five all season which was exciting, especially at the shows that had 20+ entries in her class!

Dazzle is out of Winning Streak CM Devine Diva 7*M, a 2F whose production continues to impress us. Devine Diva ranked in the 90th percentile for production evaluation last year and 92nd percentile this year. So far this year, she has produced 1,017 lbs of milk with an impressive 81 lbs of butterfat at 225 DIM! Diva’s full sister GCH Winning Streak CM Darlin’ Diva 7*M VEVE91 was 3rd place/3rd udder at the 2021 ADGA National Show, while full sister Elite GCH Winning Streak CM Dixie Diva 7*M placed 14th as a four year old at the 2025 ADGA National Show.

Dazzle is sired by GCH Patchwork Acres S Armani *B. Armani was our first buck to earn his GCH. He earned all 3 legs with us at only 2 back to back shows! He also went Best In Show twice. We unfortunately lost Armani this year to a broken leg and humane euthanasia was what was best. Armani’s sire is Phoenix Farm IDA Bjeweled Sako +*B, who was taken to be used over in Australia. His sires Dam is GCH Phoenix Farm IDA Special Order 1*M EEEE91 and his sire’s full sister, GCH Phoenix Farm IDA SpecialFX 2*M ++EE90.

Dazzle is one of 2 Armani daughters that we have here at the farm and I have high hopes for this girl’s future with us!
