This is why I knit with my own yarn.

I loved Monet’s Wild Canvas in the skein, but I wasn’t sure the skein really showed what this colorway could do.

Then I made a hat.

Suddenly the name made even more sense—the soft gray ground, dark wandering strokes, little flashes of rose and green. The colors don’t simply stripe. They move through the fabric almost like Impressionist art on a canvas.

Monet’s Wild Canvas — proof that sometimes you have to knit the yarn to really meet it. 🎨🧶

There’s a moment in autumn when everything seems to glow. 🍂

That was the feeling behind The Light Between Us—a new gradient that moves from golden light through glowing amber and into deep, burnished autumn red.

And it’s dyed on my new favorite yarn base: a worsted merino + silk blend that is incredibly soft, with just enough silk to give the yarn a beautiful glow and wonderful drape.

Bear Lake has been one of our popular colorways on our merino/nylon blend, but I wanted to see what would happen when I dyed it on non-superwash merino.

And ohhhh… I like this.

Without the superwash treatment, the wool took the dyes more softly — giving Bear Lake a quieter, more muted, almost weathered look. The little flecks of color are still there, but they melt into the natural character of the wool.

And now that I’m watching it knit up?

I would love an entire sweater in this. 🤎

Meet: Daughter’s Autumn 🍂

This one feels like a memory.

Daughter’s Autumn was named for a fall trip I took with my sweet daughter—the kind of trip where it was technically about where we were going…but also very much about the fun of planning our outfits ahead of time.

The colors in this yarn remind me of that trip: warm, pretty, a little nostalgic, and full of that perfect fall feeling when the leaves are changing and you’re with one of your favorite people.

Because sometimes a yarn isn’t just inspired by a season.
