Pineapple Guava is a cold hardy tropical evergreen shrub that is prized for its silvery green foliage 🌿, striking fragrant flowers 🌸, and edible fruit 🥭.

Pineapple Guava is cold hardy to zone 8, needs a pollinator for fruit, grows up to 15' tall x 12' wide, prefers a partial sunny location, and is drought tolerant once established. Deer Resistant.

Fun Fact: Pineapple Guava is not related to Pineapples or Guava 🤯. Its fruit flavor profile is described as a mix of Pineapple, Guava, Strawberry, Kiwi, and Apple 😋. Its flowers are edible as well with notes of marshmallow and cotton candy 🍬.

Our Bootstrap Farmer greenhouse went up in the winter of 21. It took some big hits over the years, but like that old Elton John song says, "It's still standing, better than it ever did"!

And that original plastic made it another 3 years after this particular storm left it all torn and tattered.

Horseherb is a very easy to grow and low maintenance native ground cover that thrives in a shady location. It takes routine foot traffic well and can be mowed occasionally to keep an even height if desired.

Horseherb is highly adaptive to many soil types, cold hardy to Zone 7, deciduous in colder winters, thrives in shade to part shade, drought tolerant once established, and is deer/rabbit resistant.

Horseherb supports pollinators, especially Butterflies 🦋 as a nectar source plant with its long blooming daisy like yellow flowers 🎉.
