Fresh picked veggies headed to Depot Street Farmers Market! We will have Little Gem lettuce, broccoli and broccoli greens, collard greens, garlic scapes, radishes and baby beets. WOW! Look at all them awesome folks coming out to share what they grow and make! We're so happy to be a part of the Elizabethton Farmers Market again this year.

Seasonal produce is the best! Right now our cool weather crops are coming to maturity! Lettuce, cabbage, broccoli and radish thrive in cooler temps and will start to bolt when temperatures get too warm. When we shift from Spring to the long days of Summer our heat loving crops like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, okra, beans and melons will start to thrive and produce! Nowadays the grocery stores ship in food from around the country and the world so we can have access to most anything at any time of year, they often coat produce to extend its shelf life. It’s a modern convenience to have access to every veggie and fruit under the sun year round, but if you choose to eat local seasonal produce you will get the best quality and taste from your fruits and veg!
