Meet Andre, he comes from Southern Angora Rabbitry. I am so happy to have him as an addition to our Giant Angora Program.

I love his silly and sweet personality. He still a baby and has a so much energy and time to grow. I’m hoping to show him in the fall since the was due for his first haircut.

Cookie had a good grooming session today. I love the way her coat is coming in with so much texture and volume.

Dandelion greens are a great source of vitamin C for your rabbits. I tend to give them to my expectant mamas as a treat or if they are not interested in their pellet feed. My does who are not expecting normally do not get dandelion greens because they do not need the extra calcium (they receive it with the other food I give them).

Basil and Kehlani are both expecting this weekend. I am excited for both of their litters.

Jupiter appreciation post! ❤️
Jupiter is such a handsome guy. I’m so happy to have him as a breeding and show buck. He has really grown into his personality and gaining so much texture.

Cookie is getting ready for her babies. She is due tomorrow and I am so excited. She is bred with a chocolate angora and I’m not sure what colors I will be getting out of her.
My goal is to hold back a doe from this litter and possibly another buck. That way I will have 2 breeding bucks and 3 does as a foundation for my show line.
Some breeders start off with a breeding trio and add more as they go. I tend to collect my rabbits slowly for some reason. So hopefully by the end of the year I will have a great foundation.

Cookie is getting ready to have her babies. This will be her first litter.
She has been bred with my chocolate steel giant angora who has now passed. I’m had high hopes for this litter and will definitely hold back some rabbits to stay in my own herd. I’m excited to see how many this new mama produces.

Basil said bye-bye to her coat. Her coat had been growing out since August and found its end earlier this month. She went from roughly 11 lbs 14 oz to 11 lbs 3 oz. I’m sure she’s happy to have that weight off of her.

Angora wool, like Basil’s, is great for spinning. Especially when it’s longer than 3 inches.

Thank you for all of your help. I’m not going to lie I was intimidated to shear such a big coat. Now I feel more comfortable/confident in taking on my next season of giant angora coats.

Had so much fun at the Dalton, GA triple show. I loved seeing everyone!

Basil got Best of Breed (BOB) in show A and C. Then BOB for the Giants in the Angora Specialty.

Halle got best of variety for French in the angora specialty.

I also found a buck to add to my meat program. Currently taking name suggestions for him.
