Today we are celebrating the life of one our most beloved school horses who was laid to rest this morning.
Cosmo has been with us for many years now, teaching kids how to ride, taking them to shows and being their IEA mount.
Cosmo was one of those horses who had his “people.” Even when he wasn’t the easiest, he had people who loved his goofy, food motivated personality.
Cosmo knew when to take care of his smallest riders and he also knew how to teach our older riders so much more. He was a jack of all trades in that sense. One day he’s teaching our ambitious IEA riders and the next weekend he would be winning in great company at big venues like WEC and the Kentucky Horse Park.
Whether it be a schooling show or a rated show, Cosmo could clock around and win jumping and flat classes.
Our sweet boy was treated like the special horse that he was to so many people the last few days. He knew nothing but Apples, carrots, stud muffins, and most importantly good company all weekend.
It means so much to the Rothman Family that so many of our riders stayed late after the long IEA show days to spend time with Cosmo. He also had some people who loved him and knew him the longest pay him a special visit last night.
We appreciate all those who have sent pictures and memories dating back many years with Cosmo. He certainly will not be forgotten here at Stonehaven ♥️
