We have a little update on our Fox Lake Chickens eggs, and we are SO EXCITED! 🐣

We have our first baby chick! This little one hatched overnight, and we couldn’t be happier!

When we candled the eggs, every single one was showing signs of growth. Then Hurricane Isaias came through, and unfortunately, we lost power for several hours. With the eggs only two days away from hatching, we were worried we might lose them all. We did everything we could and hoped for the best.

This morning, we have one precious little chick, and several more eggs are pipping and cracking! We are keeping our fingers crossed and praying that most of our little ones made it through.

There is something so special about watching new life begin right here on our little family farm. We will keep you updated as the others make their grand entrance!

Welcome to the world, little one! We are so glad you’re here!

We hope everyone is safe after the hurricane! We got a little windblown and lost power for a while, but thankfully, we are back up and running!

We are working on restocking the stand, and here’s what you’ll find so far:

Fresh bread
Chocolate chip cookies
Our VERY FIRST dozen of farm-fresh eggs!

I’m working on coffee cake now and plan to have it out in the stand within the next couple of hours, so keep an eye out for another update!

A HUGE thank-you to all the linemen and everyone working tirelessly to restore power to our communities. We know you’re putting in long hours, and we are so grateful for everything you do to get our families back up and running!

Stay safe, take care of one another, and thank you for supporting our little family farmstand!
