First planting of 2026! Kale, kohlrabi, cabbage, chard, and broccoli in the ground. Can't wait to share this with y'all! starts in just 17 days! Also, stay tuned as we look to grow our local sales in the Monadnock region this year. Lots to come! Feels really good to be back :)

My grandpa, Don Lockhorst, passed away this morning after 92 years of life. He was an amazing man. Both tender and strong. Consistent. Hard-working as they come. Thrifty. A steward of all that was his.

He also grew some damn good veggies in his garden in Ireton, IA. This is where I was first introduced to growing food.

He embodied the sacrament of working with one's hands and taking great pride/care in doing so. I am forever grateful for this man and will hope to honor his legacy with the way I run my farm.

Thanks to all who came out to and yesterday. We'll see you Saturday at with all the fall and lots of summer veggies too (they just keep on kickin'). We'll also have forest raised pork, fall honey, crushed tomatoes, pesto, and more!

Lastly, if you have a large ocean faring ship, Max would like to trade you cabbage for it. Plz consider!

We're in the dog days of summer. Sweet corn is taller than me, garlic is almost cured, melons are sizing up, we're about to be drowning in field tomatoes, and fall crops are going in. I love this time of year. So grateful for Soleil and Amelia grinding it out with me through these hot days!

Big rain coming tomorrow and we NEED it. But we also need your patronage. Grab your umbrellas and come see us at and tomorrow. There's no easier time of year to eat local.
