Ok y’all this is really cool. PSA: I clicked on the 3 dots (…) in the upper right hand corner of the post I made about my granola I was selling and it told me that I was selling it legally, which, of course I knew, but if you’re not sure if something is legal under the law, this is a good way to find out. While a bit of the information is inaccurate, overall it is helpful. I see people selling items in marketplace and in other FB groups quite regularly that are not legally operating under the Texas Cottage Food Law and/or are not licensed to sell by the Tx DSHS (formerly by the county) and I know people are just trying to get by and I totally get that, but it should be done legally regardless.
